I had a fab time with Eric Smith at BBC Radio Shropshire!

I was delighted to be invited to join Eric on his breakfast show to talk about “Poetry Giving” my fundraising book for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. He is a genuinely lovely fella and made me feel at ease as soon as i walked in. I do hope the listeners enjoyed the interview as much as I enjoyed being there.

Ultimately it was about spreading the word. We need “Poetry Giving” to sell well, so that more funds are generated to keep life saving missions in the air. In the interview there is one poetry reading of “Heroes of the Golden Hour”, a poem I wrote in dedication to the crew.

Now that Poetry Giving” is available for sale, it is wonderful to think that those hours of writing can contribute something worthwhile to this extraordinary bunch of people at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We are honoured to be chosen as the beneficiary charity of this beautiful collection of poems. The book has been lovingly crafted by Anita to help raise funds for our vital life  saving service, and we are very grateful for the support.”

  1. Did you know that the amazing Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is 100% funded by donation? It costs at least £2500 for every mission. “Poetry Giving” was penned to raise as much as I can for this worthy cause. Priced at just £6.99 and available by clicking the Book Shop tab here at http://www.writtenwithasmile.com or go straight to http://www.Amazon.co.uk. 🙂
