When I heard about the midnight walks being organised in June and July for Severn Hospice, I just had to get involved!

You may already know that I am currently penning a book for this exceptional cause entitled “Severn Thoughts” which is due to be launched in June. In researching my background for the book, I visited Severn Hospice at Shrewsbury a few times and became totally consumed by the wonderful work they do for people with progressive illnesses.

Oh my goodness! The warm welcome I received with open arms engulfed me from the outset and I wasn’t expecting this amazing hospice to be such a happy place. Make no mistake about it, Severn Hospice is a happy place. It’s a place where making the most of each day is special. Looking at what makes people smile and delivering it with love and compassion is what motivates the dedicated nurses and the extended team who make this place an exceptional facility. My visits certainly inspired me, and I just know that this charity has to be my next focus.

So…I am walking the 7k Midnight walk in Telford on 13th June and I am now looking for some kind sponsors to donate to my JustGiving page. Even a little goes a long way. If you could experience the atmosphere at the Hospice and how happy an environment this becomes for those who need it, you would be as mesmerised as I have become. If you have visited yourself, then you will already appreciate its warm embrace. It truly is a marvellous facility which has only been made possible by charity donations such as I am asking for now.

I don’t usually ask for money in my blog, but today I am asking this exception and I am confident that those reading will totall yunderstand the reasons why. If you can spare a few pounds I would be really grateful, Thank you for your generosity which will be much appreciated by me and by Severn Hospice.
